1. Who we are
RickLit AI is an AI chat app created and operated by Sumit Kushwaha ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the app handles and why.
2. Data we collect
- Account data: your email address, and a user ID created by our login provider (Supabase). If you turn on 2FA, an authenticator factor is stored by Supabase (we never see your 6-digit codes or authenticator secret).
- Chat data: the messages you send and the replies you get, saved in your chat history. For image replies we save only a text note, not the image itself.
- Usage counters: how many replies and images you used today, with your user ID, so daily limits work. These expire automatically within about a day.
- Technical data: basic request information (such as IP address and browser type) that our hosting provider Cloudflare processes to run and protect the service.
- On your device: your Free/Pro choice and login session are stored in your browser (localStorage) so the app remembers you. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
3. How we use data
- To log you in and keep your account secure.
- To generate answers to your messages and show your chat history.
- To enforce daily limits and prevent abuse.
- To fix bugs and keep the service running.
We do not sell your data, show ads, or use your chats to train our own models.
4. Third parties that receive data
To work, the app sends limited data to these services. Each has its own privacy policy.

Because your messages go to AI providers, do not share passwords, bank or card details, government ID numbers, or other sensitive personal data in the chat. Providers may keep data for their own periods under their policies; free model providers may use inputs to improve their models.
5. Live information and AI limits
- Prices, weather, news, sports and "who holds an office" answers come from public sources and can be delayed, incomplete or wrong. Check official sources before you rely on them.
- AI can make mistakes. Do not treat answers as medical, legal, financial or safety advice.
- Code written by the AI should be reviewed and tested before you use it.
6. Plans and payments
Free and Pro are currently both available without payment as a preview. If paid plans start later, payments will be handled by a payment provider; we will not store your card details. This policy will be updated before that happens.
7. How long we keep data
- Chat history: until you delete it or ask us to delete your account.
- Daily usage counters: about 1 day.
- Login records: as long as your account exists.
8. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your account and chat data, or to stop processing it. Contact us using the details below from your registered email. Where laws such as India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 or other applicable laws give you additional rights, we will honor them. You can also clear the app's data in your browser at any time.
9. Security
We use HTTPS, login verification by email code, optional 2FA, and database access rules so users can only read their own chats. API keys are kept as server-side secrets and are never sent to your device. No online service is perfectly secure, so use the app with care.
10. Children
RickLit AI is not meant for children under 13. If you are under 18, please use it with a parent or guardian's permission. If you think a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Data location
Our providers run servers in several countries, so your data may be processed outside your own country.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date above will change, and we will tell users about major changes in the app.
